The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

POSITION Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Historical Studies
DEPARTMENT Historical Studies
FACULTY Humanities

1.0    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

       A good MA in History;

       Some student assistantship at the University level;

       Be able to undertake PhD studies;

       Candidates with ability to teach Southern African History will be given preference;

        Candidates with ability to teach in at least one of the other two majors offered in the Department will be given preference.

 

2.0    Duties and Responsibilities

   Supervise students’ projects and dissertations;

   Participate in research and publication activities of NUL;

   Perform duties that may be assigned by the Department, Faculty, and NUL.

 

3.0     Type of Contract

Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non-Locals.

4.0    REMUNERATION:

The University offers competitive salaries.
