Elizabeth  Glaser  Pediatric  AIDS  Foundation  (EGPAF)  is  a  USA  based  Organization  with  public  health  programs  around  the  World.  It  creates  a  future  of  hope for  children  and  families  worldwide  by  eradicating  pediatric  AIDS,  providing  care  and  treatment  for  people  with  HIV  and  AIDS,  and  accelerating  the  discovery of  new  treatments  for  other  serious  and  life  threatening  pediatric  illnesses.  EGPAF’s  work  is  funded  through  private  donations,  PEPFAR  via  the  US  Agency  for International  Development  (USAID)  and  the  Centre  for  Disease  Control  (CDC),  Unit aid  etc.

Job Summary

  • Support  other  health  care  workers  in  the  provision  of  high  quality HIV  prevention,  care  and  treatment  services.
  • Provide  direct  patient  care  to  HIV-positive  patient  in  the  ART  corner       within  their  assigned  clinic.
  • Provide technical  support  to  their  assigned  facility  to  ensure  HIV prevention,  care  and  treatment  services  are  integrated  and  high quality.
  • Assist in  providing  basic  IEC  material,  conduct  health  education  talks and  counselling  for  TB  and  HIV/AIDS  to  clients  in  the  health  facility.
  • Assist the  EGPAF  SI  &  E  Officer  in  supervising  any  EGPAF  DATA  clerk or  Officer  employed  at  their  assigned  health  facility.
  • Perform  other  duties  as  required  by  the  EGPAF  district  team  and Head Office

Qualifications

Diploma  in  Nursing  and  midwifery Registration  with  the  Lesotho

Nursing  Council  as  a  Nurse Midwife.

Experience

At  least  3  years  clinical  work  experience  in providing  maternity,  MCH,  HIV  and/or  TB  services.
