Field Assistant x11 at Bureau of Statistics


Location: Ketane (2), Lebelonyane (2), Lebakeng (2), Bokong, Semonkong, Lesobeng, Tlhanyaku, Mohlakeng


Main duties:

  • Collects household data through personal interviews
  • Collects data through measurement by the sample households
  • Cuts sample plots for estimation of crop production
  • Ensure completeness and consistency of data collected
  • Keeps field equipment safely
  • Promotes other statistical activities of the Bureau of Statistics
  • Collects data from outlets for the consumer price index
  • To carry out primary data collection on all annual agricultural surveys carried out by the Bureau of Statistics
  • To as data collection agent in all other surveys undertaken by the Bureau of Statistics as prescribed each survey year
  • To follow-up non-respondents to mail enquries
  • To participate in the population census


Education and Training

The incumbent must have COSC/GCE with a pass in English and Mathematics

The incumbent must be proficient in both Sesotho and English
