Creativity isn’t just a buzzword. It is a necessity in today’s world of technology and innovation.

Companies make sales without owning any of their content, assets, or resources that they sell and market. It’s a new era. A new way to success has just been paved.

Entrepreneurs have the ability to see opportunities where many don’t. They go against the odds to create a business that will solve problems and make money in the process. They have a flame within them that says the status quo is not good enough and I will overthrow it.

Creators of Every Opportunity (CEOs) is a group of young entrepreneurs who have identified that there is a high need for creation of enterprises in the country; not only because they solve our everyday problems, but also because these are sources of employment and income.

CEOs aims to bring together these entrepreneurs and give them a chance to interact and seek advice from each other, learn from leaders, share entrepreneurial resources and explore partnerships.

CEOs observed that owners and/or managers of these businesses are responsible for management decisions relating to business operations (business planning, customer care, book keeping, employee motivation, etc.) and have a chance to grow. CEOs has therefore decided to create discussions named Youth Entrepreneurship Sessions (YES).

YES are a 3-hour, experiential networking and learning discussion sessions for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to bridge the gap between where they are now and where they need to be to build successful businesses.

The sessions aim to help attendees reduce the learning curve associated with business ownership, maximize bottom-line profitability, and transform business into reality regardless of sector or professional interest. Attendees will discuss practical and usable insights they can immediately implement to develop both personally and professionally.

The purposes of these sessions include;

  • Inspire innovation
  • Enforce accountability
  • Increase economic sustainability
  • Deal with the fear of starting
  • Study business models
  • Do away with the ‘small business mentality’
  • Invite wisdom and insight through mentorship
  • Identify and get past the gatekeepers
  • Create networking opportunities and lasting connections
  • Learn how to pitch and speak confidently in front of many people
  • Transform business dreams into reality
  • Share entrepreneurship resources and explore partnerships
  • Have “business showers” (i.e., celebrating one’s business by hosting a mini-event dedicated to buying, using, advertising, and/or selling their products).

There will also be topics discussed with every session. For example, the topic on the focus on encouraging women and girls to consider self-employment in technical and engineering disciplines, as part of our work in tackling gender inequality.

Many of these discussions will also be delivered in informal sessions for entrepreneurs to share their knowledge and advice, and will be held on a bi-monthly basis, with a different topic and different programme every time.

The first Youth Entrepreneurship Session (YES) will be held at Grindnation, Moshoeshoe Road, Industrial Area, Maseru on Saturday the 24th February 2018 at 2:30pm.
